This piece is an homage to the strength inherent in every Filipina.
The painting features a central figure, a woman who stands as a beacon of courage, her garment adorned with the visages of Josefa Llanes Escoda, Melchora Aquino, and Gabriela Silang, three icons who have etched their names in history with their unwavering bravery and dedication to their causes.
The Baybayin script at the upper left reads “Matapang Malakas Babae.”
